Luc Arseneau | Team Director

Luc Arseneau is a bilingual certified UCI Sports Director and a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC).  He brings extensive experience in high-performance cycling and athlete development to IGNITE Junior Cycling.  With 17 years at Cycling Canada, primarily as a Development Coach on the road & track, Luc has worked closely with athletes through key stages of the performance pathway, helping them build the technical, physical, and tactical foundations required for long-term success.  Over the past three seasons, Luc has been active on the UCI Mountain Bike World Series circuit as a Performance Manager, gaining firsthand experience in international racing environments, performance planning, and team operations at the highest level of the sport.

As Team Director, Luc oversees race strategy, athlete support, and overall team coordination, with a strong emphasis on holistic athlete development, structured progression, and creating a professional and supportive team culture aligned with IGNITE’s mission to provide high performance training and racing opportunities for Canadian Junior Cyclists.

Chris Reid | Coach

Chris has spent over two decades in the sport of cycling at all levels and across disciplines.  He helped build the most successful Women's Road Team in Canada for 5 years.  He has raced his bike in North America, Australia and Asia and brings perspective that's grounded in experience.​

Mark Sittlington | Coach

Mark Sittlington has been involved in the sport of cycling since the early days growing up in Ireland.  He has since then invested in coaching certification and opportunities to direct/lead international race projects for the team. 

Kevin Simms | Mentor

Kevin Simms is an NCCP Level 3 Cycling coach in Canada. Kevin has completed a career in Education and brings 30 years of coaching experience with a wide variety of cycling disciplines, including Road, MTB, Cyclocross, Xterra and Gravel.
